I moved to Colorado in 1990, and started my real estate career on the front range in Metro Denver, Colorado Springs, etc. I specialized in farms and ranches, as I had show horses, and I understand the logistics of finding suitable property with animals is a whole different ball game. I knew the pro's and con's, so it was a natural specialty for me in the equestrian area I lived in. I also did residential and commercial in this area. After working 17 years on the front range for several companies, I decided to make a move to "higher ground.” I worked for Prudential in Woodland Park, and surrounding areas, and then went to work for Sothebys in Breckenridge. After hearing about the Town of Crestone from several people, I just had to go explore it for myself. It was love at first trip, and I knew I had to make a move. The scenery, wildlife, spiritual retreats, artist community, and small town feel at the foot of the mountains said it all for me. Nothing was missing as far as I was concerned. It was hard to believe after selling in 13 counties in Colorado that this magical place in a remote area also had underground utilities, roads maintained, high speed internet all on top of its natural beauty. That was 12 years ago and I have never regretted it! I first worked in Crestone for Century 21 Valley Realty, then opened my own office of "Crestone Realty" and after the decision to slow down a bit, I closed the office and went to work for Sangre De Cristo Real estate. Now I am happily working at Mountainside Realty with the mantra of serving the community. All these experiences have made me realize you never stop learning in this business! I learn from my clients and appreciate the opportunity to help others realize their dream like I have been able to.
