The Annual Crestone 4th of July Celebration Soapbox Derby Race is returning for its 3rd year featuring a $250 First place and $100 Second place cash prizes presented by Mountainside Realty. Qualifying rounds and elimination races will be held between music and live performances held on the park stage. The derby begins at the top of Galena Ave and finishes at the intersection by Town Hall. All cars must be only gravity powered with four wheels. All cars must be able to brake to a stop and steer with control. Any cars unable to meet these requirements during qualification round will be disqualified from joining head to head races.
